GIRL, WHAT?: Iggy Azalea Says Quavo Was There for Her When the Industry Turned It’s Back On Her

Quavo held it down for Iggy Azalea when the rest of the industry hated on her.

Iggy Azalea’s making her comeback to the rap game but that’s after a few years of heavy criticism. There’s no doubt that she’s dealt with some harsh critics throughout her career and if we’re being honest, she’s partially to blame for that. However, it seems as if she’s making he way back into the music industry and is committed to releasing her long-awaited album, Surviving The Summer. Earlier in the year, she released her single “Savior” which featured Quavo. Many assumed that he did it for the bag, but it looks like his relationship with Iggy goes past that.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Iggy Azalea revealed that Quavo was one of the few people that actually held her down during her rough patch and did the song because he wanted to, not because of the dollar sign attached.

“He gains nothing for being on the song,” she said in the interview. “Everybody’s probably just like, ‘Oh, but she sucks,’ or ‘Oh, he just did it for money.’ No, he hit me up and we sent music back and forth, and he wanted to do that song.”

She revealed that Quavo, Kesha and Demi Lovato were the only three people thats stood by her side when the industry turned their backs on her.

“If I’m being honest, the only people who have been there for me are Quavo, Kesha and Demi,” she said. “And everyone else has pretty much acted like I don’t exist.”

Well, atleast now that she’s in a better place, we could expect to see her drop some tunes in the future.
