IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERRE: Nelly’s Rape Accuser is Now Trying to Sue Him for Defamation and Sexual Assault

After prosecutors dropped a reported rape case against Nelly, the St. Louis native deemed that he would take legal action to clear his name. Now, that journey has encountered another update.

According to TMZ, the woman who accused the 43-year-old of rape has filed a sexual assault and defamation lawsuit against him. Monique Greene said following her hosting shift at a Seattle club in October, she was invited to hang out with Nelly and his entourage.

After being transported to the rapper’s tour bus via an SUV, Greene said she sat down in Nelly’s bedroom where he allegedly forced himself upon her. When she began to push back and yell, she was reportedly thrown off the bus with a $100 bill. While she waited in the parking lot for a cab, Greene called 911 and was taken to a medical facility to receive a rape kit.

Immediately following the news, Nelly’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, released a statement, outlining their next plan of action.

“It comes as no surprise that Ms. Green filed a lawsuit against Nelly seeking money after we announced our intention to hold her accountable. We always believed her accusation was motivated by greed. Nelly will answer and proceed with a countersuit against her for her outrageous unfounded allegations.”
