The two have survived the negative backlash of the events that took place in a Lamborghini after a party in 2009 to each craft impressive careers for themselves. Today, Rihanna turns 30 and Breezy took to his social media to share an adorable photo of Riri as a toddler.
While the two haven’t always been on the best terms following the domestic incident, Chris looks to be trying his hardest to publicly mend their friendship after nine years of controversy between the two. Breezy wishes his ex-girlfriend a happy birthday in his caption, recalling a time when the two were the next it-couple in Hollywood. Both have had a profound impact on the music industry as they’ve each paved their respective lanes in the entertainment world.
The picture is obviously adorable, and some fans thought it was a sweet sentiment showing that the complicated past between the two artists is behind them. Others thought it was disgusting. “DID YOU FORGET THE FACT THAT YOU BEAT ON MY SIS,” @eangotclout commented.

Headlines began popping up everywhere in 2009 that the two were far from the happy couple they appeared to be. Images of a bruised Rihanna hit the internet with circulating rumors of domestic violence. The ordeal resulted in Chris Brown being slapped with a restraining order at the end of their relationship.
Chris Brown has openly stated that he wants to arrange a super tour with Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and, of course, Rihanna. While this tour will likely not occur in the near future, we can’t deny that it would be one hell of an event. Love is clearly still in the air for Chris as the two spent years of their lives together, only for it to end in disaster.
