Pierre “Pee” Thomas vented, for all the public to see.
Every year, we enter the same discussion over who got snubbed by the Grammys, and their crooked membership committee. Even if we disagree in principle, on who was unjustly cut from the list, we all to seem to agree that something “ain’t right.” When it comes to Grammy-bashing, those who speak the loudest are often those with less at stake. One person I suspect, who airs on the side of caution more often than not, is QC’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas. But even he, with all his connections at Universal, felt the need to let off some steam. His take: the Grammys’ snobbery is getting out of hand.
Pierre “Pee” Thomas, one half of the executive order at Quality Control, manages a stable of big-name artists, including Migos, through an arrangement with Universal Music. His IG message in ’19 was rather simple: “Grammys Robbed Migos of a nomination. We Still Hustling Thou.” And thought the basis of Pee’s argument is complicated by inconclusiveness, we can’t help but agree with him, on the grounds that Grammy criteria is pretty esoteric. You could argue, the selection committee is basically guilty of making it up as they go along. Realistically-speaking, do you think Migos deserved a nomination in 2018? Hit us with your thoughts.
