Has Harriet been taking Lena Waithe to her underground railroad?
Earlier today, it was announced via a joint statement that Lena Waithe and wife Alana Mayo split after just two months since announcing their marriage.
While their split may seem sudden to most, apparently everything in the buttermilk hasn’t been clean for quite some time. Infidelity rumors came to light after Lena and Alana announced separation after only months of marriage. “After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time,” they said in a joint statement. Rumor has it, Waithe cheated on her wife with another woman. She allegedly betrayed Alana’s trust and hooked up with “Harriet” actress Cynthia Erivo behind her back.
The “Queen & Slim” writer was reportedly spotted holding hands and kissing Cynthia at the Golden Globes where Cynthia received two nominations for Best Actress in a Movie and Best Original Song early this month.
Before the Golden Globes, Lena presented Cynthia with a Breakthrough Performance Award at the 31st annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF). On the red carpet, Lena gushed over Cynthia and said she was “vibing” with the British star.
According to the folks over at LoveBScott, Waithe cheated on Mayo multiple times and their rushed wedding at a San Francisco courthouse in 2019 was actually to appease Alana and salvage their relationship.
However, the wedding allegedly couldn’t stop Lena’s wandering eyes. “Even after they married, Lena was still buying designer gifts – Chanel, Gucci – for other women,” a source said. What do you guys think of this tea?
