DAMN JODY: Tyrese Takes to Instagram to Reveal He’s Nearly Broke & Believes His Ex-Wife “Killed His Reputation”

For anyone who’s been following his recent movements on social media, Tyrese has had himself a rough go at life over the course of the last few months. After child abuse claims against their daughter were brought to life by the actor/singer’s ex-wife, it seems like his life has been thrown into a noticeable tailspin. He’s been publicly trading barbs with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson over the latter’s supposed acceptance of a Fast & Furious spin-off, which has only added to the unflattering public image that Tyrese is now stuck with. In a new post on Instagram, the embattled thespian shed some light on his personal struggles, which may be worse than anyone had anticipated.

After a lengthy introduction about Martin Luther King Jr. and his passing in 1968, Tyrese got down to business. First, he clarified his position on The Rock and insists he’s totally cool with the man himself, just not what he did. “FYI I was never mad at The Rock – I was just mad that he was “pitched” an idea privately and said yes to it without thinking of what I’m dealing with personally,” he remarked. “I’m almost broke paying legal fees and is doing what we committed to doing for the #FastFans and #FastFamily cause the fast is tradition it’s not just another Movie Fast was created to COUNTER images of racism to counter that WE ARE NOT ONE RACE.”

It gets worse for Tyrese, who is also dealing with the negative career implications of his sullied image, which he blames on his ex-wife. “I’m almost broke swimming in legal fees,” he continued. “CAA tried but couldn’t book me anything cause my ex wife killed my reputation so no one wants to hire me.It’s not about I know I know I know right?? Tyrese also recently admitted to flying a banner over his daughter’s school with a loving message for his child. Maybe it’s all those planes rental fees that are bleeding his bank account dry…
