BUT OF COURSE: Nicki Minaj’s Ex Safaree Samuels Has a Few Opinions on Her “No Frauds” Diss Track to Remy Ma

Nicki Minaj released three new songs last night. That included “No Frauds” (featuring Drake and Lil Wayne), the highly-anticipated diss against Remy Ma. Fans seemed divided on the response to “Shether” but one person with strong opinions is Safaree Samuels. Nicki’s ex (and former collaborator) took to social media to share some critical thoughts on music, which seem squarely aimed at her.

Safaree doesn’t call out “No Frauds” by name but his jabs seem relevant. “Stop letting these producers come and give u structured songs that dont sound like you then you add a 12bar rap to it,” he tweeted. “The hardest sh*t was never tainted by anybody else… take it how yall want..” Many fans and critics felt that Nicki’s response to “Shether” should’ve been a solo, rap-heavy record versus a radio-friendly tune featuring her Young Money colleagues.

Safaree had been a big topic of contention within the “Shether” beef, with Remy claiming that he heavily crafted songs for Nicki. The artist and reality star tipped his hat to Remy and later confirmed that the track was the “most disrespectful record” he has ever heard.
