Tyrese will officially be a parent to two little girls.
Tyrese Gibson and his wife Samantha have been married for just over a year and have officially revealed that they are expecting a baby girl.
“Both of our love and energy and magic and families are bonded forever because we’re going to have this child,” the Fast and the Furious actor told People. “It’s unbelievable.”
Samantha explained how she wanted to surprise Tyrese on the news, but he just arrived home after she took the test and couldn’t hide it. “It was me screaming and just being overly excited and just fired up about the news,” he added.
This will be Samantha’s first child and Tyrese’s second, as he’s father to 10-year-old Shayla. Before the new year, Tyrese and his ex-wife Norma had a pretty nasty custody battle over their daughter and Tyrese got in trouble for sending so many gifts to Shayla while she was in class. He even sent a plane to fly over her school with a banner that read “NO MATTER WHAT, DADDY LOVES YOU SHAYLA.”
“Unfortunately as entertainers and public figures, you have to go through very private matters publicly sometimes. … I’m just happy to be on the other side of it and have my daughter back home with us,” he said.
