Michelle Obama is very active on Twitter. She has 10.2 million followers and all of her tweets make sense and don’t offend anyone. She recently spoke on a health panel at Klick Health’s MUSE in New York where she explained how she has a committee that vets her statements before she sends them out to the Twitterverse.
“I tweet, but I have a committee,” she said. “I don’t just tweet off the top of my head, which I don’t encourage people to do — especially kids.” She explained how it can be damaging for kids to just tweet the first thing that comes to their minds.
“I think kids do think telling it like it is and talking off the top of your head [is cool]… [but] that’s never been good,” she told the audience. “We weren’t raised like that. That’s rude. That’s what you call rude.”
Seemingly a subtle jab at America’s current President, Donald Trump, Michelle added: “But yes, I use social media. But I use it like a grown-up.”
As we all know, Donald uses his Twitter account to send out a myriad of tweets that have left us to question if he has a committee that vets his statements. Just recently he went after Oprah, calling her “insecure” and before that, he used his account to deny the sexual assault allegations pinned against his name.
“A woman I don’t know and, to the best of my knowledge, never met, is on the FRONT PAGE of the Fake News Washington Post saying I kissed her (for two minutes yet) in the lobby of Trump Tower 12 years ago,” he tweeted. “Never happened! Who would do this in a public space with live security……”
