“Empire” star Morocco Omari encountered some real-life drama on Wednesday.
Omari, who plays Tariq on the Fox series “Empire,” was arrested and charged with domestic battery on Wednesday, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department stated on Thursday.
The CPD spokeswoman revealed that police responded to a battery call regarding a battery. The 24-year-old female victim told police that she and her boyfriend Morocco had engaged in an argument, during which the actor pushed her to the ground several times, resulting in injuries to her neck and chest.
Omari was arrested on a misdemeanor account of domestic battery, and is expected in court Thursday.
