BECAUSE THE INTERNET HAS NO CHILL: Social Media Mocks Michael B. Jordan for Allegedly “Pretending To Like Black Women” In “Creed II”

Some factions of Black Twitter are still angry.

Michael B. Jordan recently detailed how hard he hard to train for his role in Creed II. The actor put on 20 pounds to embody the boxer onscreen. One social media user, however, expressed her belief that the role was rather strenuous because of his taste in women.

A Twitter user how goes by @cripperella, dismissed Jordan’s challenging fitness routine as his cinematic challenge. She made fun of his press run and put him on blast all at once: “Michael B. Jordan said Creed II was his hardest roll to train for and I know exactly why. He had to pretend to like black womens.” (Yes, with an S)

Her comment was retweeted over 6K times and received over 26K hearts in approval. The comments section doesn’t contain as many stances of defense for Michael as some of his fans might hope to see.

A part of his most recent GQ interview could function as a pre-emptive response to the online critics.

“To the trolls on the internet, I want to say: get your head out of the computer. Go outside and walk around. Look at the people walking next to you. Look at your friends’ friends and who they’re interacting with. And just understand this is the world we live in. It’s OK to like it.”

What do you guys make of all of this?
