It’s no secret that Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran aren’t on the best of terms, but when it comes to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, the two seem to have an understanding. The “Claws” actress recently revealed that she admired the “Work” singer’s Instagram photo.
After attending Kendrick Lamar’s “Damn” Tour on Tuesday night, the TNT star grabbed dinner at West Hollywood California hot spot Catch. While waiting for her car to arrive, Tran talked to the paparazzi and gave her opinion about Rihanna, as well as Brown’s decision to like his and place the ‘eye balls’ emoji under the Instagram picture.
In the video, the TMZ photographer asked Tran what she thought of Rihanna’s Crop Over Festival outfit. Tran revealed that she thought the Rih Rih looked “good.,” saying “I need to know what she been doing, I need to get thick like that.”
The man then asked Tran if she noticed how Brown commented on Rihanna’s picture with the eyes emoji. “I would do the same thing if that was my ex,” she replied.
Although both Tran and Brown have praised Rihanna’s picture, the singer has received some criticism from fans, accusing her of photoshopping the image. In the picture, it looks like the singer may have manipulated the photo, because her hand which is placed on her stomach looks as if she has a second nail on her thumb.
“I love u bae but u got two thumb nails on one hand,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the photo.
“What happened with her thumb? Photoshop? Why!” another fan wrote.
Despite the opinions, it is clear that Rihanna was unbothered by the comments because she has not removed the picture from her account.
Along with critiques about a possibly photoshopped picture, Rihanna’s fans also slammed Chris Brown for commenting on his ex-girlfriend’s picture. In 2009, Brown was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, after physically attacking Rihanna ahead of the 51st annual Grammy Awards.
Although the couple got back together after the attack, they eventually broke up once again and many fans are still angry over Brown’s actions. “@chrisbrownofficial Im calling the police, LEAVE HER ALOOONNEEEE,” one fan wrote.
“@chrisbrownofficial Keep walking,” another fan added.
In June, Tran was granted a restraining order against Brown after receiving several threats from her ex-boyfriend. The actress told a judge that she was in fear of her life, and revealed several details about her relationship with the “Privacy” singer during their romance, which was on and off from 2010 to 2015.
Tran stated that her ex-boyfriend punched her in the stomach and pushed her down the stairs during the course of their romance. Not long after their relationship ended, Tran revealed that Brown threatened to “take me out” and told her if he couldn’t have her, no one else would.
The singer allegedly began to harass Tran’s friends and threatened to hurt them as well, and worried about the ongoing threats, she told her pals that she was afraid he was going to eventually kill her.
Tran was able to obtain a permanent restraining order which will keep the singer away from her for the next five years. Check out the TMZ video of Karrueche’s commentary below:
