Damn times flies, it’s that time of year again!
The list of this year’s nominees for the 2023 BET Awards has been revealed! Nominees include Lizzo, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Ice Spice, and many more. Drake happened to take the lead this year with seven nominations, including Album Of The Year, Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, and more.
GloRilla comes in a close second place, with six. She’s also nominated for Album Of The Year, as well as Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best New Artist, and more. Last year, Glo took home best breakthrough hip hop artist of the year award at the BET Hip Hop Awards so it wouldn’t be surprising to see her take home a trophy or two during this ceremony.
Following GloRilla and Drake, 21 Savage and Lizzo boast the third-highest number of nominations, with five each, followed by Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Ice Spice and SZA, with four nominations each.
Voting for the Viewer’s Choice categories will commence on June 8 and end the day of the show, June 25, at 6:30 PM PT. The 2023 BET Awards will air on Sunday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
