GIRL, WHAT?: DaniLeigh Wants You to Know DaBaby Chose Her Because She’s a “Yellow Bone” & The Internet is Dragging Her for it

DaniLeigh didn’t do a good job reading the room once again and is now being dragged by the internet…once again.

DaniLeigh is starting to become one of those names you have to take a slight sigh every time you hear it. The “Easy” singer has become a bit of a punching bag via the internet as of late as many have frowned upon everything from her three way situationship with rapper DaBaby and DaBabyMother, to her ability to complete simple things like the viral “Buss It” challenge. It really seems like people just don’t like Dani and unfortunately she isn’t helping it at all. Dani took to Instagram with a brand new look and a brand new track for all of her fans, but she found herself having to defend her lyrics after some fans weren’t feeling it.

“Yellow bone that’s what he want, yellow bone that’s what he want. Prada me and Saint Laurent. Yellow bone that’s what he want,” the lyrics said.

Obviously referring to her fair skin tone, some of the fans in her comments did not take kindly to the lyrics. One user commented, “Dani I was rooting for you! Like For Real, For Real. This song is disappointing on soo many levels.. Yellow Bone?” “Girl I’m here for your talent and sh*t but this was a choice. Yellow bone is what he wants? Leave that toxic colorist in 2020 thnx,” another user commented.

Dani caught wind of the backlash and responded. She says, “why I can’t make a song for my light skin baddies ?? Why y’all think I’m hating on other colors when there are millions of songs speaking on all types.. why y’all so sensitive & take it personal .. gahhhh damn” DaBaby even chimed in under the initial preview of the song with yellow emojis seemingly co-signing the lyrics.

Interestingly enough, DaBaby’s baby mother MeMe seemingly caught wind of the song and reacted as well. She jumped on Instagram, and posted a message. She says, “I’m gone, I ain’t gone doooo it..” with a bunch of laughing emojis. Take a look below. What do you guys think? Did you take offense or were you feeling “Yellowbone”? Personally, I doubt she intended to offend…but girl, read the f*cking room.
