THAT WEEZY REIGN JUST WON’T LET UP: Lil Wayne Becomes First-Ever Artist To Debut 2 Songs In Hot 100 Top 5

“Mona Lisa” and “Don’t Cry” were the top-performing tracks off Lil Wayne’s new album “Tha Carter V.”

Lil Wayne has made chart history once again with the release of his long-awaited album Tha Carter V. On top of the album becoming Wayne’s fourth to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the rapper has become the very first artist to have two songs debut in the top 5 of the Hot 100, Billboard reports. Wayne’s Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Mona Lisa” has debuted at No. 2, outsold only by Maroon 5 and Cardi B’s “Girls Like You,” which holds the top spot for a third week. His XXXTentacion collaboration “Don’t Cry” comes in at No. 5.

Wayne has tied Drake’s recent record of debuting four songs in the Hot 100 top ten. The New Orleans rapper’s “Uproar” comes in at No. 7 and “Let It Fly” with Travis Scott arrives at No. 10.

Weezy now has 24 career Hot 100 top tens to his name, replacing Jay-Z (21) as the rapper with the second-most ever. Drake currently leads the rap pack with 31. Eminem is just below Jay-Z with 20.

With 22 off Wayne’s album entering the chart at once, he has tied Drake’s Hot 100 entry record set by Scorpion.

Wayne’s total Hot 100 entry count has now been raised to 160, trailing only the Glee cast (207) and Drake (188).
