SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT…PERIOD: Yung Miami Addresses JT’s Old Video That Was Leaked As a Fake “Diss Track” Directed At Cardi B, Nicki Minaj & More – “Y’all Wanna End The City Girls So Bad” (VIDEO)

In the latest reminder that the internet is forever, Yung Miami of the City Girls had to address resurfaced video of her groupmate JT seemingly taking shots at other female rappers being turned into something more than what it was.

In case you missed the shenanigans yesterday, an alleged “diss track” in which it’s leaker claimed was recorded by City Girls rapper JT over the phone with Yung Miami from prison began to make it’s rounds on the internet. The legitimacy of those claims were quickly dissolved as the source material for much of the audio was found in an old Instagram live video recorded by JT prior to the girls even being signed.

In the video, JT appeared to downplay Nicki Minaj’s skills as an emcee and also mentions Kash Doll somewhere. A brief mention of Cardi B took place as well, in a separate clip which didn’t appear in the original video, so appeared to be cut and pasted into the “audio diss track” put together by deranged fans, which she could be heard saying “”Cardi B? Cardi B had Love & Hip Hop to help her. We ain’t got Love & Hip Hop.”

Since JT is behind bars, Yung Miami was left to do damage control and she took to her Instagram live to clear up misconceptions that were vastly spreading about the video.

“We were playing around, just freestyling on a beat,” said Miami. “We never thought nobody was going to hear that sh*t. We ain’t never think we were going to be signed. We never thought none of that. We was just playing around.” The Florida native born Caresha Brownlee added, “I’m too aggravated. Y’all is just aggravating as f*ck. Y’all wanna end the City Girls so bad, but that ain’t gonna happen.”

She also cleared up any confusion on Cardi B’s mention, “At the end of the day, Cardi is QC. We all a f*cking family. We all a team. We not never going against Cardi B. Ever,” declared Yung Miami. “Y’all taking some old sh*t and trying to make it like it’s a new diss track. JT this, JT that. Keep JT out y’all f*cking mouth.”

We all know how the internet and especially certain fanbases love to twist these types of things to fit their narrative, especially when it involves female rappers other than their own personal faves..so unfortunately this one probably won’t die down anytime soon. Let this be a lesson that what you put out on the internet can always resurface. NEXT! Peep clips from Miami’s live below:
