SEEN & HEARD: Naomi Campbell Speaks On Nicki Minaj & Cardi B NYFW Altercation – “I Don’t Want To See Women Fight” (VIDEO)

Naomi Campbell speaks on the infamous shoe-throwing incident.

When Cardi B threw her shoe at Nicki Minaj this month, everybody heard the heel make contact regardless of where you were situated in the world. Since then, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have taken subtle jabs at each other. Of course, we can’t forget the not-so-subtle time Minaj called out her rival on Queen Radio the week following the attack. Many have spoken about the dramatic events, either choosing a side or wishing it didn’t happen altogether, and Naomi Campbell happens to fall into the latter group.

The supermodel spoke about what happened during her sit-down with Andy Cohen. The host prompted her to speak on the attack as a first-hand bystander, which Naomi cleared up quickly. Andy believed that Campbell was at the same event and witnessed it unfold before her very eyes but Naomi was having none of it, saying that while it was called the “Icon Party,” “there were no icons there.”

She reveals that she was “disappointed” by the shoe-throwing instance, saying that she would prefer if the two would keep things cordial. “I don’t want to see women of color fight. I don’t want to see women fight period,” she stated. She clarified her stance by making a very good point, saying that the focus should be on their music: “There’s no division in music, and music is for everybody. There’s no discrimination, so I felt very disappointed.”

Many were upset by the actions taken at the NYFW event, as well as by the way the superstars reacted afterwards. Listen to the model’s full remarks below.
