Her recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, where she kept both the host and the audience rollicking with her verbal and non-verbal responses to questions, was a prime example of her evolution from hip-hop afterthought to one of the most marketable stars in the world as 2017 comes to a close. However, while she isn’t lacking in the charm department, the same can’t be said for a couple of her fans.
As per TMZ, two Cardi fans got into a heated altercation outside the Rockafeller Center studios as the rapper exited the building and made her way to a car that was already waiting to whisk her away to her next stop in the Big Apple. The throng of fans that greeted her was long and swarmed Bardi as soon as she was outside, forcing her security team to take the lead and ward off many of the autograph seekers. When two women, who looked to be middle-aged, missed out on an autograph opportunity because of one’s shoving of the other, things got more than a little tense. Check out the full video clip below.
The scuffle, while intense in its own right, is a perfect encapsulation of how far Cardi B has come in the music industry in such a short period of time. With new music on the way in the near future, there’s no doubt that the Brooklyn native is here to stay. Surely 2018 has even more success in store for the “Bodak Yellow” songstress.
