She also made sure to kibosh any further questions from her adoring fans, telling them to wait and see what Friday has in store. In case you’ve been sleeping under a rock, Friday is the official release date. Fans and critics alike are still rendering their final judgement. Is Cardi a flash in the pan? We’ll know by Friday once and for all.
The first things that comes to mind about the tracklist is that the album has zero features apart from Migos on “Drip” and 21 Savage on “Bartier Cardi,” both of which have already been leaked to the public. The fact that Cardi is doing the majority of the grunt work herself is a very encouraging to fans who’ve kept a skeptical balance. The album is short and concise on paper, which hopefully speaks to Cardi favoring selectivity in her critical output. For the record, Cardi has given rap fans no reason not to salivate over this release. Her work to date has catapulted her head and shoulders above her peers in New York, and into the general conversation all the same.
