NOT SO FAST!: Cardi B Wins Again As Assault & Battery Case Has Officially Been Dropped Following Viral Mic Throwing Incident

No one will be calling Cardi “prison pants” anytime soon. Bardi once said “God don’t play about her” and she never lied.

For the last week, Everyone has been talking about one particular video that emerged from last weekend. The clip shows a fan throwing their drink on Cardi B during a show and the rapper retaliating by throwing her microphone back at them. The clip immediately sparked discussion among fans about her actions and about throwing things on stage in general. The trend has become increasingly common in recent months. Drake was hit by a phone on the opening night of his “It’s All A Blur Tour,” Beba Rexha suffered a black eye after a fan threw their phone her way, and Latto had an intimidating stare-down with a fan who tried to throw something at her last month.

Many stories were twisted regarding the incident, including some trying to spin the narrative that Cardi requested fans to throw water on her prior to the incident. This is partially true however Cardi requested fans to throw water on her body, specifically saying “not her face” at the start of the show, and this individual decided to launch their liquid and ice from their cup and directly into her face way later at the end of the show, obviously shocking both Cardi and the rest of the audience.

Soon after the incident went viral, news broke that Cardi could be facing some real trouble for her reaction as she was listed as a suspect in a battery reported to Las Vegas police following the incident. The investigation was said to have began after a woman who the microphone allegedly ricocheted into and tapped on the shoulder after hitting it’s intended target. However, worry not… as we have some good news.

Apparently that battery investigation has gone absolutely nowhere and was never ever referred to the D.A. As cops have concluded that Cardi did not commit a criminal offense and the case has been dropped.

Cardi’s lawyers, Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld spoke with the folks over at TMZ, “This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.”

One thing about Cardi, that legal team is unmatched. Now for god sakes… can y’all stop throwing stuff at these people?
