ISSA BOP OR ISSA FLOP?: City Girls Member JT is Back with Her First Record Since Prison & Ready to Triumph with “First Day Out” (LISTEN)

JT is back like she never left and isn’t wasting any time.

City Girls’ rapper JT is officially out of prison and she’s already getting back on her music grind. For the last year, the Miami-based recording artist has been forced to watch her career grow from behind bars, trusting her partner Yung Miami to hold it down until she gets out. The star was booked for fraud and the Quality Control team has been teasing her imminent release for months and finally, that day has arrived.

After announcing her release earlier, JT and her partner Young Miami also revealed she be releasing a new song as well…enter “JT First Day Out.” In what feels like a record of triumph reminscent of Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ or Cardi B’s ‘Get Up 10,’ JT raps that she’s “motivated” and ready for what’s next with her life and career.

On the Twysted Genius-produced track, JT details the time leading up to her incarceration and the aftermath. “I don’t gotta throw shade to get a fanbase, I been a real bitch way before the Fed case,” she raps. “Yung Miami held me down, that’s a bitch ace/And if a bitch try her, it’s a cold case.” Later she shouts-out Drake’s “In My Feelings,” the City Girls-featuring track, which went Number One.

Take a listen to the track below and let us know what you think. ISSA BOP OR ISSA FLOP? Are you excited for more JT with the City Girls reuniting?
