Cardi B was undeniably one of, if not the, biggest star of 2018. The rapper quickly found her debut project Invasion Of Privacy racking up accolades, including near-consistent placements across damn near every “album of the year” publication. The hype was so fervent that Cardi herself openly spoke about the pressure surrounding her sophomore, though if the upcoming “Press” proves anything, it seems as if she’ll be just fine. Now, Cardi has dropped off another extravagant new music video, this time for her latest single “Money.” Rest assured, it is most definitely a feast for the eyes.
The video is an elaborate dedication to the elements that make Cardi herself. Cardi acquaints herself well, donning haute couture, playing piano in the nude, taking it back to the strip-club days, breastfeeding, making it rain, and more; the woman is versatile to be sure, commanding attention in an unparalleled fashion. In simpler terms, YG’s chorus on “She Bad” has never felt more relevant. Throw in some truly impressive strip-club acrobatics worthy of Cirque De Soleil, and you’re looking at one for the ages.
