Ladies and gents, Cardi B is coming into 2018 swinging and we’re on three days in!
Just a day after the “Bodak Yellow” rapper made Billboard chart history (again), she came through with a guest appearance on Bruno Mars’ highly anticipated “Finesse (Remix).” The record officially dropped Wednesday night, about a week and a half after rumors of the collaboration began circulating on social media.
The music video also debuted, paying homage to 90’s television classic, ‘In Living Color,’ with both stars in colorful gear and boasting paint brushes as they dance in a ’90s-set with cement floors.
For those who are too young to know the magic that was ‘In Living Color.’ It was a hit sketch comedy show brought to life by Keenan Ivory Wayans, which birthed the careers of Jamie Foxx, Jim Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Marlan Wayans and so many more!
“Finesse” is the latest of Cardi B’s musical collaborations to make a splash on the music scene. Her musical efforts with other artists, including her own breakthrough single “Bodak Yellow,” placed the Bronx-born singer as the first rapper in history to place her first three Billboard Hot 100 entries in the chart’s Top 10 simultaneously.
