Last week social media went nuts when pics of Cardi B and the Queen B, Beyoncé getting familiar with each other began to make the rounds.
Now the “Bodak Yellow” rapper has broken her silence on the moment and in an interview with Billboard admitted, “I’m surprised Beyoncé liked me… I met Beyoncé!”
And while Cardi may be enjoying her own superstar status, her reaction to the meeting is that of any everyday person who’d just met a music legend, “It’s like, ‘Oh my God!’ That’s how it feels like. I can’t talk, I can’t breathe.”
Sounds about right.
When asked which female rapper Cardi would like to work with, the BX representer had no problem suggesting “All of them.” We wonder if Nicki Minaj should be shook that Remy Ma’s already taken Cardi up on that offer?
The Love & Hip Hop breakout star has been enjoying massive success thanks to her catchy cut “Bodak Yellow” and has since become the Rudy of the rap game.
Now she’s prepping for the release of her first major label debut album this October, telling Billboard, “I’m a little nervous to put the project out, but I think it’s going to be pretty good.”
