Cardi B claps back. While prepping her debut album, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper establishes her winning ways in retaliation to criticism.
Following a rather uncalled for (and rude) post from comedian Sommore about how she isn’t winning solely because she’s busy, Bardi fired back. “Coming from nothing isn’t winning, doing everything they said I couldn’t because of my stripper past isn’t winning, taking care of my family isn’t winning, reaching the top of the billboard charts when everybody said NO isn’t winning???” she wrote. “If this ain’t winning sis you tell me what is!! I know you must be so busy and overbooked that finding the time to give me ‘advice’ was hard!! But I talk to Christ and my mother everyday and I don’t need it!!”
The comment arrived hours after Sommore, famous for her work in Soul Plane and Friday After Next, posted the following caption along with Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow” video: “Just cause you busy don’t mean your winning…. You better be reading ya paper work!”
Currently, Cardi is winning on the Billboard Hot 100, where “Bodak Yellow” is hanging steady at No. 3. The track also recently earned her a gold plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Expect more new music soon. This week, Bacardi teamed up with G-Eazy and A$AP Rocky on “No Limit,” and the former “Love & Hip Hop” star is planning to release her debut album in October.
