After performing at the TIDAL X: Brooklyn benefit concert, Cardi B took over “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday (Oct. 18) during the show’s week-long residency at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Decked out in a Ric Flair-inspired feathery pink coat and glittery ensemble, the Bronx-born rapper launched into her record-breaking hit “Bodak Yellow,” which was dethroned from the No. 1 spot this week by Post Malone’s “rockstar.”
After emerging from a fire station, Cardi felt right at home on the Mercedes-Benz Concert Series stage, which featured an Empire State background, complete with a corner newsstand, apartment buildings, and a hotel.
The “Kimmel” performance follows Cardi’s recent BET Hip-Hop Awards showing, where she brought BX to Miami. Up next, the chart-topper is set to release a freestyle and her debut album. Check out the Jimmy Kimmel performance below:
