Slay (verb): the inevitable actiaon that would ensue if you combine three musical queens named Rihanna, Lizzo, and the one and only Cardi B. Synonym: a surefire Grammy winner.
The slay could very well be a reality in the future, now that these artists have confirmed they want to work together. While attending her Fenty x Savage show in New York on Tuesday, Rihanna briefly chatted with the folks over at Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of teaming up with Lizzo, admitting that she “loves” the singer. “I would collaborate with her on the lights for this interview right now,” the fashion and makeup mogul joked, adding, “Lizzo is so badass.” Rih then continued that she also loves Cardi B and would love to collaborate with her as well.
After catching wind of Rihanna’s high praise, Lizzo shared the interview clip on both Twitter and Instagram, causing fans to immediately start manifesting a Rihzo song into existence. However, some thought it was a good idea to get all three ladies one on track, one of those being Rihanna.
A Rihanna fan account which goes by the name Fenty.Way posted a collage of the three artists with a caption that simply read “We want a collaboration between these three women.” To which the badgal herself hopped in the comments to reply: “This would just end it all one time! Bye fellas!” Sounds like Rihanna is down with the idea and Cardi B and Lizzo have already shared not only their admiration for Rih but also one another so it looks like we’ve just gotta wait for the ladies to work this one in their schedules, folks. Perhaps we can get it served up on that album Rihanna has locked up in a vault somewhere.
