Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir ‘The Woman In Me,’ is releasing October 24 and has already started to shake up a lot of people. For example, many fans are antsy as to what she will reveal, what will be included, and how the public will perceive her after its commercial opening. Other folks like her father and ex-husband are reportedly unbothered by it, although that’s purely based on speculation and secondhand source reports. However, according to PageSix, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake has been sweating bullets as he’s “concerned” about what this book will include while discussing their infamous relationship. Well, Britney just dropped the first bombshell for him as a preview.
Insiders with direct access to the book have shared that Britney reveals she had an abortion during her relationship with Justin in the new memoir, recounting that her pregnancy was “a surprise” but not “a tragedy.”
“I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she writes in an excerpt published by People Mag. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” Spears continues.
“I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”
For those unfamiliar, Britney and Justin began dating in 1999 when they were both teenagers. After their high-profile breakup in 2002, Timberlake infamously implied during an interview with Barbara Walters that Spears had cheated on him, which the “Toxic” singer neither confirmed nor denied at the time.
While Spears reportedly mentions that the decision to have the abortion has haunted her for years, Sean Preston — with husband Kevin Federline in 2005 and she had Jayden James in 2006.
