LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE: Britney Spears is Tired of Y’all “Bullying” Her; Calls Out Alyssa Milano Over Tweet Asking for Someone to “Check On” Her

While I think that some of concern around Britney’s current mental and physical state is understandable considering all she’s been through, I think that sometimes the public takes it too far considering ultimately we’re all still on the outside looking in.. However, it’s important to note we were also in that same space when the public rallied around her for the #FreeBritney movement anyway, so this is a tough one…

Days after concerned fans made calls prompting police to perform a wellness check on Britney Spears at her house (simply because she had disabled her Instagram) Spears is now publicly addressing Alyssa Milano over an old, unhelpful tweet. On December 20, Milano tweeted, without any context or explanation, “Someone please go check on Britney Spears.” At the time, fans were sharing baseless conspiracy theories that Spears was in danger, missing, or dead—citing their own unhinged over-analysis of her social media activities.

Last night (Tuesday 1/31), Spears took to her IG story writing, “It saddens me to see things about me from people who don’t know me !!! This definitely feels like a form of bullying !!!
Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another not pulling one another down !!!” under a screenshot of Milano’s tweet from December.

But by Wednesday afternoon, TMZ reports that Milano personally reached out and apologized to Spears for the tweet. According to the report, it’s not clear “if Britney reacted to Alyssa’s apology, or what exactly Alyssa said in her message.” In any case, it really seems like the damage is already done.

Last week, Spears addressed her fans directly after police—and Spears—confirmed that they’d conducted a wellness check prompted by calls from Spears’ “fans.” In several viral TikToks, some of these self-identified fans recorded themselves appearing to call the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office to express concern about Spears. “As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded,” Spears wrote in a Thursday statement posted to Twitter. “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.”

This is tough.. I think this is at a point where fans have to take into account that ultimately Britney is human just like us and has been through more trauma than many of us have had to deal with in our lifetime. Let that woman heal in her own way and if she says she’s okay have the respect to let her live. What do you guys think? Are people doing too much around Britney?
