SAY WHAT NOW?: Boosie BadAzz Says He Walked Out of The Color Purple Movie Because It Is a “Lesbian Love Story” – “The Script is Pushing the Narrative!”

This is interesting to hear from the man who once praised “two red bones kissing in the backseat.”

I don’t know what top must have given Boosie his the best D of his life and then ghosted him, but he deserves his flowers because this man is obsessed. Boosie Boo talks about homosexuality more than any actual gay person I’ve met in all of my years of life. This time, he’s airing his grievances with the recently released reimagining of “The Color Purple.’

Boosie claims that he had to walk out of the movie with two of his daughters, explaining while writing on Twitter that he was offended that the plot “SEEMED LIKE A [rainbow emoji] LOVE STORY.” “GOOD ACTING BUT WHOEVER WROTE THE SCRIPT IS PUSHING THE NARRATIVE HARD. AS A PARENT I WILL NOT LET MY LITTLE GIRL WATCH THIS FILM,” he added.

For background, The Color Purple main star Celie, played here by Fantasia, has a love affair with Shug Avery (Taraji P. Henson), their kissing scene is very brief and intercourse between the two is simply implied. It’s quite obvious that Boosie and the two supposed older couples must not be familiar with the original because this isn’t a new addition to the story whatsoever. The scene pulls inspiration from the Broadway musical and the original 1985 Color Purple film, although both lesbian storylines are watered down in comparison to Alice Walker’s book, where the women have a sexual relationship. He’d really be clutching his pears over that one.

The post warranted plenty of disagreement from Boosie’s followers on social media. In response, one fan wrote to Boosie: “So y’all more upset that Mrs Celie and Shug Avery was exploring their sexuality but didn’t draw the line at her being molested at 14 by her stepfather and having his kids? This really shows me why yall still let that ‘Fresh’ uncle come to the family reunion but throw your Gay kids on the street!” Another remarked: “That’s why it’s rated PG-13. Perhaps you should had done a bit of research on the movie, before you decided to bring your daughter to watch it.”

I wonder if a narrative is being pushed when Boosie’s openly gay daughter comes over for dinner. Check out what he had to say in full followed by some of the public’s reaction below and let us know your thoughts. Is this California raisin doing too much again?
