HOW YOU DOIN?: Wendy Williams Pending Podcast is Reportedly Cancelled Before it Even Started

Love her or hate her, Wendy has been a staple on our airwaves for decades and without her sitting in that purple chair five days a week, there’s definitely a void in entertainment…especially as far as talk shows go.

Back in December, legendary talk show and radio veteran Wendy Williams showed up on Instagram to sell her podcast merchandise and shared she’s ‘just happy to be here’. For months, Wendy has been teasing fans about her upcoming podcast leaving fans to wonder if she was indeed ready to return to the public eye.

Now, according to multiple reports, insiders are claiming that Wendy’s podcast is no longer in discussion as Williams reportedly spilled to friends that “The Wendy Experience Podcast” has been canceled following months of hyping up the long-awaited project. The ailing former television host first announced the podcast last July and even dropped merchandise online for the then-upcoming show.

She followed up the announcement in November 2022 by insisting the podcast would debut within the “next few weeks.” However, as of now, her website’s link to the section that previously detailed the podcast no longer works.

“It’s strange, because she is saying there is no podcast, but is also telling people she’s going to return to TV,” a source dished on Williams’ increasingly bizarre behavior concerning her stalled career. “It’s hard to figure out what is based in reality.”

News surrounding a possible podcast came one month after Williams’ Emmy award-winning talk show was canceled and removed from YouTube. Due to her years-long battle with health issues and addiction, Williams’ time on the FOX network came to an end. However, in August her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, called out the producers of the show and claimed that no one was willing to help his ex-wife recover from her substance abuse.

This is an interesting point to remember as news that the podcast may be cancelled comes after earlier this week fans shared concerns about her well-being after she was spotted out and about in New York City having several drinks. A source who was at the same New York restaurant as Williams told the folks over at Page Six that she “kept saying she wanted to get drunk tonight. She wasn’t hiding her drinking.”

Ultimately, I just hope Wendy gets everything both physically and mentally and can return to the public in some capacity at this point. I believe her voice is needed. Are you disappointed hearing that the podcast is cancelled? Do you see Wendy making a return to media?
