PREVIOUSLY ON ‘LAW & ORDER’ SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: Nicki Minaj Harassment Lawsuit By Her Husband’s Sexual Assault Victim Voluntarily Dismissed; But Her Attorney Hints It’s Far From Over

It’s a shame that a woman with as much star power as Mrs Petty ever even found herself in this bottom of the barrel situation, now while she and her fans begin to celebrate, it’s apparent the plantiff in this case isn’t exactly off of Minaj’s back just yet.

How does that saying go? “When you lay down with dogs you wake up with fleas?” Nicki Minaj opened up a whole can of fleas in the form of judgement, lies, and legal troubles when she decided to unite with convicted rapist, serial convict, and registered sex offender Kenneth Petty.

However, as she continues to fight legal battles brought on due to her choice in husband, some seem to believe Minaj can now put one legal hurdle behind her. Jennifer Hough, the woman who Kenneth Petty was convicted of raping when she was a teen, sued Minaj back in August 2021 on allegations that she was harassing and intimidating her about recanting her story in the decades-old case, in effort to fix she and Petty’s public image. The Petty’s denied the allegations and on Wednesday (January 12), it was widely reported that Hough’s lawsuit against Minaj has now been dismissed voluntarily by Hough’s attorney Tyrone Blackburn.

While Minaj and her fans have already began celebrating and somehow tied this to the unproven statement that she was “innocent,” an exclusive cryptic statement from Blackburn hints that this was done strategically and that this isn’t the last we’ve seen of this case.

“This does not mean that Nicki Minaj is in the clear, in fact, she’s probably in a worst position now that she was prior to when the case started,” Blackburn stated. He also made sure to note that this dismissal does not mean Minaj won’t be involved in the case going forward.

I’ll say this, neither side in this situation has really done a stellar job in proving their case up until this point and it’ll be interesting to see where this goes going forward. It sounds like we’re about to be hearing about this and watching it play out even longer, so I guess as Blackburn has advised “just wait and see,” and tune into the next episode of ‘Law & Order: SVU.’

What do you believe is the truth with this whole thing? Do you think this is the end?
