The show’s viewership seems to have been boosted by the female emcee’s appearance.
Azealia Banks and Nick Cannon got into a social media beef following the taping of her appearance on Wild’n Out. The rapper was upset about an “anti-black” joke that was made during the show. Since then, a lot of negativity was exchanged between many of the individuals who were involved. Today, Nick Cannon comes through with a message of positivity.
Cannon posted a photo of himself and Azealia Banks on Instagram to show “some love” to the artist after their beef. The caption begins with Michelle Obama’s infamous quote on how to deal with adversity, followed by Cannon’s admiration for Banks.
“In the words of our Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, “When they go low, we go High”. And I can honestly say I have great respect and admiration for @azealiabanks for coming back out and completing the show like a strong Queen and going High that day. Anyone who can even come on Wildnout and show a different side of themselves and have the courage to go up against some of the funniest, rawest, and most talented individuals in the game, says a lot about ones character.”
This would be a most appropriate time for Azealia Banks to finally drop her album. Her fans have been waiting for Fantasea 2: The Second Wave for a while, and now, the artist is on the radar of millions of other potential listeners.
