I swear we can’t make this stuff up.
There are few things more exhausting that “stan” culture on social media. We all have our favorite acts, but some fanbases and individuals take their strange admirations for their faves to the next level. No we’re not talking about the ‘Barbz’ this time, it’s actually Ariana Grande fans. Those who’ve checked Twitter recently might have seen #LizzoIsOverParty trending. Yes, the ‘Truth Hurts’ singer is the latest victim of the infamous “cancelled” phrase that seems to pop up everyday online attached to another name but then ultimately results in well… nothing at all.
It all started after Lizzo shared that she has two songs that are top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 right now: “Truth Hurts” and “Good As Hell.” Apparently, Ari’s fans are upset the songstress wasn’t credited on Billboard for the remix of Lizzo’s song as it’s entered the top 10, an accomplishment these “Arianators” believe wouldn’t be possible without Grande.
Interestingly enough, Lizzo’s original was released three years ago. And that appears to be the one that made it to the top 10. Still, #LizzoPartyIsOver has been trending on Twitter as fans share their thoughts.

Are people seriously gonna body shame and act racist towards Lizzo just because THE BILLBOARD DIDN'T ADD ARIANA IN THE CREDITS?? Both you Ari and Kpop stans are disgusting for even thinking that PoC artists need to use white artists for fame, get out #LizzoIsOverParty pic.twitter.com/cucW57bmG0

#LizzoIsOverParty really is trending because Arianators really are too stupid to realize Billboard credits the artist on their charts, not the artist themselves 💀 pic.twitter.com/vnkQJQdjTI

What do you guys think? Does this really matter? Because I got a headache just writing it. Do Ariana or her fans really have a reason to be upset?
