Another day, another scandal involving none other than Robert Kelly.
R. Kelly appears to be walking down the same path as Bill Cosby. The only difference is, the public has been knowledgeable about Kelly’s sexual habits for decades at this point. The R&B and hip-hop idol’s affinity for younger women and questionable sex practices have landed him in the news repeatedly. Now that millions of women across the country are speaking out against their aggressors’ thanks to the strength of the #Metoo and #TimesUp movements, a day of reckoning seems to be knocking at Robert Kelly’s door. R.Kelly has been accused several times of sexually assaulting young women, now he is being accused of targeting young men as well.
According to a Twitter user, the 51-year-old singer asked a 17-year-old boy to come and visit him and even offered to fly him out. Kelly also allegedly sent his nude photos to the boy.
@lashaemcclair narrated the story on Twitter and shared screenshots of the message R.Kelly sent to the boy named Amari with the Instagram handle @iamnazheef. Whether or not the chats are real is currently being debated on Twitter.
To further defend her story the user pointed out R. Kelly’s verification check mark, beside his name in the messages on his Instagram account. The check simply verifies that the account legitimately belongs to the celebrity or public figure it represents. However in 2018, which is obviously a photoshop world, viewers of the scandal were not completely convinced. To up the ante even more, the user then uploaded a recorded video of Kelly watching the young man’s Instagram story, something which isn’t as easy to fabricate. This new allegation is coming just months after a woman alleged that she had a sexual relationship with R. Kelly when she was an underage. She simply adds to the list of women who have accused the singer of such. What do you guys think of all of this? Do you believe it?
