A few weeks ago, that yearly discussion about what’s going on behind the scenes with casting the next season of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ began. As producers began to toss around names of who’s returning for season 12, there was one name that was apparently rubbing some of the cast the wrong way.
If you recall, the word on the street was that Kandi Burruss said both publicly and privately that she would quit the show if Phaedra Parks’ returned. Now, in a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Kandi confirmed those rumors — admitting that she DID threaten to quit if Phaedra came back and also offered an explanation as to why.
“Did I say that to anybody? Yes I did. Basically, I just kind of feel like — in real life, right, if someone says that you tried to drug somebody and sexually assault them and it comes back that person was lying on you — would you want to work with that person?” said Kandi.
She continued,
“That’s kind of scary to me. Let’s say for instance, in the future when things are happening — you don’t even know why it’s happening — only to find out [there’s] a person off in the corner that’s been doing all these things….”
“That can happen again and they can do it better next time because then they know not to tell anybody else that really can let the cat out of the bag.”
Based on Kandi’s stance, it seems like Phaedra won’t be holding anyone’s peach anytime soon. What do you guys think? Peep a clip of the interview below:
