Nicki says Travis was “selling fucking clothes” not music.
Nicki Minaj has given Travis Scott the award for “Hoe N**** Of The Week” on her Queen Radio show Tuesday. The award comes after Nicki accused Travis of unfairly inflating his album sales by selling merch bundles and tour passes that contributed to his second-week total, putting him at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 while her fourth studio album Queen debuted at No. 2.
On the show she accused Travis of “selling fucking clothes” rather than music, arguing that he wins the shady reward “by a landslide” due to his alleged sales tampering. While she had previously spoken out about Kylie’s Instagram post regarding the tour pass, she stated during the episode that she loves Kylie and is centering solely on Travis here.
At the VMAs yesterday, Travis mentioned that he had the No. 1 album on the charts despite Nicki’s claim that the Astroworld rapper had told her he knew his album should not be No. 1 in a conversation earlier in the week.
Other awards that have been announced included Cock Sucka Of The Year, which was given to Huffington Post in regards to their article reporting on a “backlash” to Nicki casually comparing her fight for equality in the music industry to Harriet Tubman. Meanwhile, she gave Queen Of The Year was given to Tubman.
