Omeeka is now history, but the two rappers appear to be finding it hard to keep things civil with one another.
Over the weekend, during a performance at Australia’s FOMO festival, Nicki took a little extra time to discuss Meek during her usual rendition of “Barbie Dreams.” The couple split more than a year ago, but Nicki claims that Meek is still in her DMs. As many of us know, this is a line in the lyrics of the song, so naturally Nicki is going to say it if she’s performing that record, however the “Chun-Li” rapper took it a step further when she stopped the music and gave a little more attention to Meek than needed.
Nicki interrupted the set and said:
“Meek still be in m DMs, I be having to duck him.
I mean . . . I could tell you secrets but I won’t
Cause being a bitter b*tch is what I don’t”
The extension of the lyrics clearly got to Meek as he appeared to fire back on Twitter. While he didn’t mention her by name, one fan wrote “Nicki leave my man alone,” and he liked that response.
“Why you be sooo mad at me and not the people that came right at ya neck! I’m cool I’m doing good lol something is wrong here,” Meek tweeted before adding, “Leave me alone you know I get a lil too out of control with the truth! Keep it classy.”
