Nicki Minaj was set to perform at Philipp Plein’s Fashion Week after-show party at 1Oak’s pop-up club at Hammerstein Ballroom, but before she took the stage, she reportedly had to have her Popeyes chicken.
“She refused to go onstage until she got her Popeyes f – – king chicken. The production team had to send someone out to get her chicken,” an insider told the folks over at Page Six as to why Minaj was about an hour late to take the stage.
What’s more, Plein posted on social media about the party, causing “thousands of uninvited people” to show up in an attempt to get into the party.
“The NYPD and FDNY were threatening to shut down the party twice because they were over-capacity. It was the worst thing in all my Fashion Week experiences,” the source complained.
