GIRL, WHAT?: Nicki Minaj Attacks Writer in Their DM After They Criticized Her Music; Reportedly Gets Them Fired

Apparently one writer’s opinion of Nicki Minaj’s music merited her a vicious attack courtesy of the self proclaimed Queen, herself.

Friday evening, (June 29) Toronto based writer Wanna took to Twitter to offer her two cents on the direction she hopes the “Chun Li” artist will take. “You know how dope it would be if Nicki put out mature content? No silly sh*t, just reflecting on past relationships, being a boss, hardships, etc. She’s touching 40 soon. New direction is needed.,” she tweeted.

Thee girl didn’t even “@” Nicki, but Nicki definitely took notice and responded to Wanna’s claim that her music isn’t mature in a rather harsh direct message.

“Eat a d*ck you hatin ass h*e. Got the nerve to have a Trini flag on your page. You must not have heard the Pinkprint or “Pills N Potion” “Bed of Lies” “Save Me” My recent feature with Alicia Keys, Tasha Cobbs,” Nicki responded. “Just say you jealous. I’m rich, famous, intelligent, pretty and go! But wait, leave my balls. Tired of you sucking on them.”

Now, the girl is a writer. She’s not competing for wealth with Nicki, but it seems like that is Minaj’s weapon of choice here. I am not sure what artists feel is worthy of their time, but this – TO ME – seems like a complete misfire of the brand called Minaj, especially when she is publicly giving away scholarships and stuff.

The internet was divided over Nicki’s response. Many believed her retort was unjustifiably ferocious especially with several albums and number one songs under her belt. Others however sided with the “Rich Sex” artist stating for nearly a decade Nicki has dominated the charts, and yet her music is still being second-guessed.

Wanna has since made all her social media accounts private, alleging Minaj’s loyal fan base has sent her harassing messages and even death threats. Nicki at this time of this post hasn’t said anything about her direct message to Wanna going public.

However, according to reports, the girl ended up losing her “job” at an unnamed website that would seemingly prefer to maintain a relationship with Nicki than a writer. Business is business, and it aint none of mine. But it still seems foul. Like rotting fish.

However, was Nicki within her right to respond the way she did? Was Wanna’s initial tweet dripping in condescension, or did Nicki show her inability to accept criticism? What do you guys think?
