Record-breaking tennis player Serena Williams caused confusion on Wednesday (April 19) when a Snapchat post prompted reports she was pregnant.
Williams shared an image of herself in a skin-tight yellow top, posing to accentuate her figure, accompanied by the ambiguous caption: “20 weeks.”

Widespread reports followed, on the assumption the 35-year-old was pregnant with her first child, but Williams subsequently deleted the post.
Women’s tennis governing body the WTA congratulated Williams via its official Twitter account but deleted the tweet within minutes.
Williams announced her engagement to Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, in December. No date has yet been announced for their wedding. I suppose if Williams is pregnant, we will get a more official announcement sooner rather than later.
