Many people remember Nivea from her breakout single, “Don’t Mess With My Man,” a song that was picked out of her fairly successful self-titled debut album. Nivea hit the 25th position of Billboard’s RnB Chart in the US. Since the release of her amazing sophomore album, ‘Complicated,’ which peaked at the 9th position on that same chart, the artist’s projects have virtually flown under the radar for the most part as she decided to take a break from music to focus on family.
Now Nivea is back with new music after her lengthy hiatus from the music industry. The singer has been making several headlines over the last week after a revealing interview with BET Digital called ‘Finding Nivea,’ where she dished on her departure from music, as well as revealed that she struggled with substance abuse issues over the years. Now she is sober and ready to get back to the music and has just dropped her new single, the soulful, ‘Circles.’
‘Circles‘ was released on Friday and is now available on all digital and streaming platforms, it is definitely a return to the heartfelt vocals we came to love Nivea for all those years ago…sounding like she never left.
