FACTS OR REACHING?: Director Accuses Beyoncé of Plagarizing Her Work for “Spirit” Music Video & Of Course They Beyhive Isn’t Having it!

Beyoncé is currently receiving a ton of much deserved critical acclaim for not only her role as Nala in Disney’s live action remake of ‘The Lion King,’ but also for the the African-inspired music video for her song, ‘Spirit,’ lifted from the film’s soundtrack. However, per usual there are a few negative critics citing the Queen Bey’s work, one being famed photographer and art director Gabrielle Kannemeyer.

Kannemeyer who has previously work with such big names as Puma, Adidas, Guess, Woolworths, and many more, retweeted a number of posts from commenters who alleged that there were many
similarities between her work and the ‘Spirit’ visual.

A Kannemeyer shoot drawing particular comparison was that of South African artist Petite Noir‘s ‘Blamefire.’ Once the Beyhive got wind of the accusation of copying, needless to say, all hell broke loose and they Beyhive quickly got into formation. Check out some of the reactions and accusations below along with both videos in question. What do you guys think? Do you think there was inspiration drawn or just haters trying to rain on the Bey parade per usual?
