Mike Epps’ wife, Mechelle, is asking for six figures in monthly payments in order to support herself and her family.
Mechelle is claiming in court documents that since Mike makes $3.5 million per year, he should be able to afford to pay her $109,036 in order to cover the expenses of taking care of their girls as well as maintaining her own lifestyle.
According to Mechelle, Mike didn’t want her to work during their marriage, but now she is unable to get a job because she is too old at 36. What’s more, she alleges that Mike cut her off from the bank account and credit cards, so she needs the support.
The monthly stipend, she claims, would go toward buying clothes for their girls, covering their private school tuition, paying her mother to nanny the girls, paying for the girls to go to an “expensive salon” to get their hair braided, and costs such as car payments, food, and vacations.
Mechelle is also asking for sole possession of the house.
As I read Mechelle’s claims, all I could think to myself was “GIRL, WHAT?”
