Nicki drops her take on “Goin Bad.”
Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio broadcast returned to the Beats 1 platform on Saturday and prior to going live, the emcee assured fans that they would be getting new music with its arrival. While many were awaiting something along the lines of new original tracks, Nick decided to put her own spin on things when she arrived with two remixes to tracks that have been dominating playlists as of late, Drake and Meek Mill’s “Going Bad” and Lil Baby and Gunna’s “Drip Too Hard.”
On “Going Bad,” Nicki begins with a cadence that mimics Drizzy’s on the track as she begins with references to her boyfriends “Onika” neck tattoo and her success in breaking Aretha Franklin’s Billboard record. Naturally, the track caused the most uproar out of the two with Nicki allegedly dissing Drake as fans also claimed she did in her most recent “Hard White” music video as she is seen destroying a small scorpion onscreen.
We’re still clueless what happened between Nicki and Drizzy, but we are all very much aware of her bitter split with Meek Mill. Some lyrics in “Barbie Gon Bad” immediately caught fans attention and for good reasons.
“When you lose the Queen ni**as friendly dog / It was just back to back Wembley dog / Now you all the way back up in the Bentley dog / I turn lemons into lemonade simply dog / Oh boy you my brother tried to end me dog,” Nicki Minaj raps.
Nicki also took gave her take of Lil Baby and Gunna’s “Drip Too Hard” hit. Take a listen to both tracks below and let us know what you think. BOPS OR FLOPS?
