In a bit of surprising, if not disappointing news, The New York Daily News is reporting that Chrisette Michele is set to join Donald Trump’s D-List inauguration performance line-up.
Sources close to the festivities have reportedly confirmed that the Grammy winning singer will be on the bill. For real. Reportedly, the deal with Michele was set weeks ago but has been kept quiet because the singer rightfully feared criticism from her fans (see: Jennifer Holliday who pulled out of performing after facing backlash).
If the reports are accurate, Chrisette will join 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith and Sam Moore of Sam & Dave fame who are slated to perform.
When word got out, many online began to question why the 34-year-old would want to participate in any of the inauguration activities, including Questlove who was willing to come out of his own pocket to ensure Michele doesn’t actually go through with her decision.
I'd pay Chrisette to NOT perform ?

Along with The Roots drummer, others on Twitter proceeded to read Chrisette Michele and add her name to the list of names on the canceled list.
Y'all talking about cancelling Chrisette Michele now like y'all didn't let her last album debut at #72 on the charts. ?

Is Chrisette Michele wrong for performing? Or can she do whatever she wants? Sound off! Me personally, all I could think to say was…”Chrisette, what are you doing?”
