FACTS OR REACHING?: Rapper Princess Nokia Accuses Ariana Grande of Ripping Her Off Her Music with New Single “7 Rings” – “Sounds About White” (VIDEO)

Princess Nokia has called out Ariana Grande over her latest video and song for “7 Rings.” The New York artist, whose real name is Destiny Nicole Frasqueri, jumped on Instagram today (Jan. 18) claiming that the pop singer bit her whole style with “7 Rings.”

In her IG video, Nokia believes that Grande copied her rhyme flow on the song “Mine” from her mixtape 1992. “Does that sound familiar to you? ’Cause that sound really familiar to me,” she tells her followers. “Ain’t that the lil song I made about brown women and their hair? Hmmm… sounds about white.”

While Nokia may have a legit argument, Grande’s track samples “My Favorite Things” from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music. But we must also mention that the song seemingly interpolates 2 Chainz’s “Spend It” and Grande’s flow also sounds similar to that of Soulja Boy on his 2010 hit “Pretty Boy Swag.”

Grande has yet to address all of the accusations that she is allegedly biting other rapper’s flows and not giving proper credit.
So does Princess Nokia have a point? Take a listen in her video below and let us know what you think:
