CHAMPIONSHIP MOVES: Meek Mill Scores First Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 With “Going Bad” featuring Drake
10.12.18

Meek Mill can add another victory to his belt following the success of his stellar Championships album.

The Philly rhymer nabbed his first top 10 single on the Billboard 100 Hot chart with the Drake-assisted banger, “Going Bad,” which appears on the new LP.

The Westen Weiss and Wheezy-produced track entered at No. 6 on the chart this week. The song pretty much confirms that the duo’s long-standing rap feud is officially over.

“I could fit like 80 racks in my Amiris (80 racks),” Meek spits on the infectious song. “Me and Drizzy back-to-back, it’s gettin’ scary (Back-to-back)/If you fuckin’ with my odds, it’s don’t come near me (Get outta my way).”

“Going Bad” is also Drake’s 33rd top 10 single and extends his impressive record for the most single among solo male artists.

The “What’s Free” rapper is not done with promoting his project. On Monday (Dec. 10), he just released a new video for the anthemic track “Intro.”
Directed by Kid Art, the clip features Meek celebrating his wins with the Dreamchasers crew. Throughout the vid, we see archival footage of a decades-old celebratory parades mixed with scenes of Meek popping bottles of champagne with fellow rappers Casanova and Lil Durk.

The visual follows Meek’s animated lyrics video for another LP track “Uptown Vibes” featuring Fabolous and Anuel AA.

Hopefully, Meek will shoot a video for “What’s Free,” arguably, the most talked-about track on Championships. The song features guest verses from Rick Ross and JAY-Z who addresses his complicated relationship with Kanye West.

Congratulations to Meek Mill for achieving his first top 10 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
