GIRL, WHAT?: Here’s Why Fans Think Iggy Azalea is Currently Upset with Cardi B

Apparently, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has some sort of problem with Cardi B.

Cardi B became tied up in headlines earlier this week when she spoke with Tidal’s Rap Radar podcast nothing how her rise to stardom has opened the door for more than one female rapper to be recognized and in demand by labels.

“I feel like, after me, I’ll say that it’s kinda easier for a lot of these female artists. Like before me, there was no female rapper that was signed to a label, well, you know the ones that had already been established. Nobody was signing them,” Cardi said. “And now, everybody’s just signing them if you could rap and you got a couple of followers because nobody want to miss the opportunity. Like, a lot of labels missed the opportunity with me because I went to a couple of motherf**kers and they said, ‘No, no, no, no.’”

Per usual, a certain group of Bardi haters attempted to twist those words as if she was saying she “paved the way” for women in rap or something of the sort, which Bardi quickly took to Twitter to clarify things on what she meant:

“Ya comprehension skills must be on slow cause I never discredit nobody,” she replied. “Theres been female rappers b4 I was born it died out due to hope and it got revive back in 08 & the music industry made it a stigma like there could only be 1 & now there’s plenty striving, she said, before continuing, “I’m Lying ? So you tell me what rappers was giving features to female rappers? What label was pushing a female rapper? What tv music show was inviting female rappers,” Cardi said. ‘Only 2 female rappers for years and one ain’t last to long ……now you tell me! I wanna see something?”

It didn’t take long for many to suggest that the two rappers Cardi mentioned that were thriving for years would be Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea, Iggy of course being the one who didn’t last too long due to the backlash she received from the general public as well as issues with her label and former mentor T.I. Iggy finally made a comeback earlier this year with the release of her album ‘In My Defense,’ but apparently those facts didn’t stop her from being upset about Cardi’s statement.

Fans pointed out that the “Sally Walker” rapper not only unfollowed Cardi on Twitter (still not sure why y’all know that about people) but also retweeted a tweet from a Nicki Minaj fan responding to Cardi’s post saying “B*tch, you tried it” before responding to a few fans who proceeded to ask her what the problem was when Cardi was simply stating facts to showcase her point. Peep those receipts below. Do you think there’s anything for Iggy to be upset about here?
